Dr. Daniel Quinn is a registered psychologist and a member of the Australian Psychological Society. Central to his professional practice is an ability to develop a rapport and collaborative relationship with his clients. Along with working on the presenting problem, Daniel employs a strengths-based approach. By discussing positives in the client's life, he is able to find personal and external support to treat mental illness and enhance wellbeing.

When commencing a relationship with a client, Daniel uses person-centred therapy to allow the younger person or adult to tell their 'story'. During this process, he brings his natural warmth and positive regard to the counselling. This enables him to establish underlying problems and develop goal-directed plans for positive change. These plans are likely to employ aspects of psychoeducation, learning new skills, drawing awareness to emotions, and applying strategies for change.

Daniel is also a parent and registered teacher. These perspectives assist Daniel to understand the multiple influences on children and adolescents. This is particularly beneficial when seeking to transfer the skills and knowledge discussed and practised in the counselling sessions. He is quickly able to identify potential challenges and work with the client to ensure that the problem behaviours, emotions, or thoughts can be improved in all aspects of the client's life.

He is particularly skilled at working with young people and adults feeling overwhelmed with multiple life stressors. His calm approach is particularly suited to working through the issues associated with disruptive or emotionally distressing behaviours.
