Beatrix (Trixie) Gardiner

Clinical Psychologist

I am an experienced Clinical Psychologist who specialises in providing evidence-based therapy to adolescents and adults. I believe in empowering people to make positive changes in their lives, and that psychology input can provide practical information and skills. Some of the common treatment issues I work with include anxiety, depression, stress, and emotion regulation difficulties.

I bring to the therapeutic relationship an open-minded, validating, and warm presence. I believe that people are unique, and that therapy must be structured to suit their unique needs. I draw from client's strengths while offering new ways to cope with life challenges. The aim of psychology input is to develop a greater understanding of yourself, build resilience, and learn skills to ultimately lead a more fulfilling life. Therapeutic modalities I draw from include cognitive-behavioural therapy, mindfulness, dialectical behaviour therapy, and acceptance and commitment therapy.
