Aisha is a registered psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia (AHPRA) and the Commission of Psychologists, Belgium.
She is also a Member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS) and a registered Trainer in Psychology with the Mauritius Qualifications Authority.
Aisha has international experience and has practised in various settings including private practices, hospitals, community health service and non-governmental organisations. She also has an academic background and worked as a lecturer of psychology at the University of Mauritius, where she taught a range of psychology subjects at the undergraduate level.
These diverse employment roles have given Aisha an extensive knowledge of psychology and many opportunities to develop her skills.
She has expertise in all the core areas of individual and couple/group therapy and she routinely interacts with patients from a variety of backgrounds. She works with adolescents, adults, couples and families.
A key strength of Aisha’s practice is her friendly, caring and passionate attitude and the ease with which she can establish good therapeutic partnerships with different types of clients.
Aisha has expertise in substance abuse, delusional disorders, mood disorders (depression, bipolar and postnatal depression), stress related and somatoform disorders (anxiety, phobias, OCD, PTSD,...) as well as a wide range of adult issues ranging from personality disorders to the more abstract existential concerns.
Aisha adopts an eclectic, integrative and flexible approach in her practice and chooses the treatment that best suits her client although she has a personal interest in an Analytical Approach Of Cognitive Behaviour Therapy. She is always seeking new skills, development opportunities and challenges.
Aisha is also bilingual and provides counselling in English and French.
