Kate works with adults who present with anxiety, depression, stress, substance use/gambling and relationship issues. Her therapeutic approach is supportive and collaborative, tailoring therapy according to individual client needs and treatment goals. Kate draws on her techniques and strategies from a range of therapeutic modalities including CBT, mindfulness, psycho-education, solution-focused therapy and ACT. Kate is also a trained yoga teacher.
Kate uses person-centred therapy to allow the client to tell their story. She brings with her warmth and empathic understanding to enable clients to feel safe and comfortable to explore what's troubling them. This process will lead to working collaboratively with the client to develop plans for change.
Kate has a strong interest in assisting people to increase their self-awareness and gain an understanding of the processes of their mind and emotions, in order to live according to their values and achieve their life goals.
