As part of Psychology Melbourne's Employee Assistance Program, counselling is an effective way to foster support for your employees, resolve issues and consequently improve productivity and work performance.
How it works
Our highly skilled team of more than 35 psychologists provide solution-focused counselling and coaching for employees with personal and work related issues. They can accurately diagnose and resolve conflict in the workplace and provide team building tools and strategies. We also offer a range of classes and workshops.
Our employee assistance program provides priority support. The aim is to provide an early-intervention, solution-oriented approach that empowers employees to develop more effective coping strategies.
The Employee Assistance Program offers 50 minute consultations for the agreed number of sessions determined by your company. Most companies offer 3-6 sessions to their employees.
On average, only 5-10% of your employees will access our EAP services during the year.
EAP appointments can be accessed 6 days a week between the hours of 8:30am – 7pm Monday to Friday and 8:30am – 1:30pm Saturdays.
We commit to providing an appointment within 2-5 business days of the initial contact. Urgent requests can also be facilitated on the same day, or within 24 hours.
You can choose between two ways of referring your employees to our services: self referral or HR/management approved referral.
Any Manager of Staff Member can directly access the EAP for assistance on a voluntary and confidential basis. No prior approval is required. Most organisations choose this option as their employees feel their privacy is more secure.
HR/Management Approved Referral
The employee will approach their HR/Manager to seek consent to access the EAP.
The Managers can also identify and refer individuals to the service as required.
Our counselling services are not only limited to face-to-face but are also available through online psychological counselling.
Online counselling allows employees to access our high-quality counselling services via a computer, laptop, iPad and Smart Phone. They can be held in a private office at work or they can be made from the employee’s home or external location.
Some of the benefits of online secure video or phone counselling incude:
